High School Reunion

Yesterday was my 10 year high school reunion. At first I was not sure I was going to go, but after some convincing from my friend Jessica I did decided to go and I had a good time. It was fun to see what everyone was up to. I do not know why, but for some reason I do not remember very many details about high school, it amazes me that a lot of my friends can recall in great detail some events that took place. I know that I had a good time in high school, but I guess I do not have a very good memory, because I had a hard time remember where I knew some people from, was I in a class with them, did we hang out on the weekends, or were we in volleyball or dance together? Anyways the reunion was actually a big two day event, but I only went to the Saturday events. We meet at Tempe town lake and had a picnic, it was fun to see everyone kids and talk, and then on Saturday night our reunion was at Embassy Suites (the same place Reddin and I got married), there was a slide show, dancing, and casino games. I feel like I spent most of my time talking to people that I never really talked to after graduation, so it was fun to see what everyone was up to, and I hope to stay in better contact now with the help of face book. Overall I think it was fun, and I am glad that I went, I wonder if we will have another reunion in 10 years?

Fall Break Recap

Fall break is now over and Payton gets to return to tumbling, school, and swimming starting tomorrow. My cousin Tina and her daughter Morgan were in town for the first part of last week, so we had a lot of fun, going to the zoo, eating out, staying up late talking, and visiting Ikea. Unfortunately on Tuesday night Payton got sick, which she then probably gave whatever she had to Tina and Morgan, but what can you do? We stayed close to home on Thursday and Friday and I am happy to say that everyone is feeling better. Reddin and I never seemed to get anything and Kayda was just cranky for a few days, but was never really sick, so I am glad that whatever Payton had was short lived.

Now back to the fall break activities on Sunday night we eat dinner at my parents house with Tina, Morgan, and her friend Michelle and her two kids Nathan and Avery. Payton and Kayda had a great time playing on Grandpa Redger's putting green with all the kids.

On Monday I spent the day with my mom, I got a little shopping in and several errands accomplished.

On Tuesday we meet Tina, and Michelle at the Zoo and spend several hours there exploring. Thanks to Tina all the older kids got to go and feed the giraffes.

On Tuesday night we all went to chick-Fil-A to eat dinner and then after that my brother Brian came over and Tina, Brian, Reddin and I stayed up talking tell after midnight. It was a lot of fun until Payton decided to get sick.

On Wednesday Payton was acting fine, so I took Tina and Morgan to Ikea for the first time before I took them to the airport. It was so much fun having them stay with us. they were the first overnight guests we have had at this house.

On Thursday I took my mom to the airport and then took Payton to the doctor. Of course after we left the doctors office Payton starting acting fine, she was happy again, ready to try to eat something, and even wanted to get up and dance to Hannah Montana.

Friday we stayed at home, because I did not want to get anyone else sick, so we watched movies, and talked to the neighbors from our porch.

Saturday I got up and ran early in the morning, then I went to an enrichment activity, while Reddin took the girls to a fall festival in our neighborhood, then we went to eat lunch as a family and then went to old navy, Kohl's, the mall, target, and Fry's. It was a busy days, but I got almost everything I wanted to get done accomplished, but I have not been able to find anything new I want to wear to my 10 year high school Reunion next week.

This week has gone by so fast, it was a lot of fun, but I am ready for Payton to start school again so I can try to clean up this messy house.

The start of fall break

This week it is fall break and Payton does not have school, or tumbling, it am a little worried about what we are going to do with all the extra time, but I think it is going to be a fun week. My cousin Tina and her daughter Morgan are in town and we will get to see them on Tuesday and Wednesday and I will just have to see what ideas pops into my head for the rest of the week. Any idea?

Last week Payton went on her first field trip to the dinosaur museum and she had a good time. She even got to pan for gold, which was fun. I was so impressed that she new what a carnivore was, she is learning so much at preschool.

On Friday my friend Deanna and I took our girls to the Zoo, because the weather was a little bit cooler. It was Kayda's first time at the Zoo being mobile and she loved it. We pretty much looked at a few animals and then we went and played at the water park and then went home (a perfect zoo trip for me). It was fun and the girls had a good time, we actually meet up with my neighbor while we were there, so Payton had more friends to play with.

On Friday night Reddin and I took the girls to try out a new ice cream place and it was a hit. It is called udderdelights and we all really enjoyed it. Here is picture of Kayda with her own little spoon.
