Greer

We are almost ready to leave for our trip to Greer, so wish us luck. I am excited to spend a week with Reddin's family in nice cool weather. I plan to run, scrapbook, read, play games, eat good food and just enjoy being with family. I think my girls are going to love being with their cousins all week, I know I am going to forget to bring something, but oh well.

Sunsplash!

Yesterday we went to Golfland/Sunsplash for my brother's work party, and we had so much fun. I didn't bring my camera, because I didn't want it to get wet or lost, so sorry no pictures. Payton went down her first water slide using a tub and after going down with me a few times on a double tub she decided she wanted to go by herself and she did great, she is a different girl in the water (so brave). After I forced Kayda to go down one of the small little kid water slides she loved it and wanted to do that the rest of the day, so we spent a lot of time letting her and Payton slide all they wanted. I was glad my mom decided to come last minute, because she watched Kayda go down the little slides, while I took Payton on the tub slides. Sunsplash was only open until 7 so we were only really there for 3 hour, and then we went over to golfland and played video games for an hour or so and then we headed home. Payton and Kayda both fell asleep on the way home, it was perfect. I am glad my brother invited us I have not been to a water park in probably 5 years.

Kayda Update

Kayda is getting older everyday and it makes me sad, she is starting to talk in complete sentences, and wants to do everything herself. Today she decided that she didn't want to wear a diaper and just wanted panties on, I really am not really to potty train, but I think she is so I should probably start working with her more. Today she also got herself dressed, she had one shirt on top and then put the other shirt on as a skirt (so cute), she really liked her outfit. Today she also walked down the street with Payton to her their friends house and just kept turning around saying bye bye mommy.
(Kayda wearing two shirts)

She swims like a fish and has no fear of water, she just jumps. Yesterday she was giving Reddin and I high fives after she had used the potty and after a few time she told us we were to slow. She is learning so much and is starting to be such a big girl, I love her so much.

Kayda is scheduled to have interventional radiology done on August 3rd at Phoenix Children's Hospital. They are hoping to shrink the mass in her arm so that when she is older she will not notice it. We are just hoping and praying that it is just some kind vascular malformation like they think it is, and we hope the procedure goes well wish her luck.

What we have been up to.

This past week was a fun one. We celebrated the 4th of July with Reddin's family on Saturday, and on Sunday my girls got to wear their new 4th of July skirts that Grandma Evan's made for them and everyone thought they were so cute (myself included). On Monday Reddin had the day off so we spend the day hanging out at home and then we took the girls to Amazing Jake's in the evening. Payton won the the jackpot while playing one of the games, so she got over 650 tickets.

The rest of the week we went swimming, watched movies, and hung out with friends, and Payton did a great job on Wednesday and passed her swimming class so you now gets to move up a level and start learning freestyle more. (yeah for Payton!)

This passed week I also learned that I must really like running, because I ran 12 mile in this heat without my friends to keep me company and I still enjoyed it,

The True Test

So tomorrow I am going to get up early and run 12 miles or so by myself. All of my running friends are on vacation, so I feel like tomorrow as I am running I will find out if I really love to run long distance or do I just just being with my friends while running. I run by myself all the time, but never usually more than 6 or 7 miles so tomorrow will be double that, but I am 5 weeks into my marathon training and I want to make sure to stay on track, so tomorrow is my true test, do I still enjoy long distance running without friends? I guessing I do, but not sure yet. I thought about renting a good movie and running the entire thing on my treadmill, but I think I am going to try outside first and see if I can handle the heat, wish me luck. I cannot wait for all my running friends to get back.
