My Cute Girls

I feel so bad, because I feel like I hardly ever take pictures of Kayda, but when Payton was her age I took several pictures everyday, so today I decided it was time to take some pictures. Aren't they cute, I love my girls?
My parents just got back from a trip and my mom bought both of the girls hair bows so that is what they are wearing. I think they are so cute and I think I am going to try to make some of my own in the next week , so wish me luck.

I do not have much to report for the week besides I took Kayda to her 1 month check up and she has almost gained 2 lbs she weighed in at 10lbs 8 oz. She is in the 75% percentile for both weight and height and she is doing really good.

One Month

(Grandpa Redger holding Payton and Kayda)

So yesterday Kayda was officially a month old. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone. Since she has been born I really have not done much besides stay at home, but it has been fun. I really do love having a baby in our home, even if it means I am tired most of the time. For the most part I think she is a good baby. She does not mind being held by her big sister, which is usually requested several times a day. She prefers to sleep on her stomach, but will fall asleep pretty much anywhere if she is tired (see picture below). She usually always throws up at least once a day because she over eats, but for the most part she eats pretty good. She likes Payton's bed and loves to be held when someone has a free hand. She falls asleep every time I but her in the BabyBjorn carrier (thanks Shellie), and she seems to like being outside and going for walks. Overall it has been a great month.

(This is how Kayda feel asleep yesterday)

(This happens several times a day, but Kayda does not seem to mind)

Another Year Older!

So yesterday I officially turned another year older. I cannot believe that I am now 27 years old, time is just flying by. Overall yesterday really was a pretty good day, with the exception of when I took Payton to swimming lessons. My mom meet me at Costco in the morning so I could get a few things and then she took me out to lunch at Paradise Bakery (I love that place, thanks mom). We then went back to my moms for an hour or so and then she watched Kayda while I took Payton to swimming lessons. I think I should have just skipped swim lessons, because Payton cried the whole time and I ended up just leaving early, because I was so upset with her (It kind of put a damper on the day). Reddin had left work early so we could go out to dinner before it got to late, but before that he surprised me with some great presents. We then took both girls to Grandma and Grandpa Evan's house and they watched them so we could go to dinner kid free at Oregano's. We had a nice dinner and a few hours without crying kids, which was just what I needed (Thanks everyone).

Another Week!

(Kayda 3 weeks)

Well today Kayda is officially 3 weeks old. I actually feel like I am able to take care of both my girls by myself now, but still do need help entertaining Payton at times. This was a pretty busy week for us. Reddin had Monday and last Friday off so it was great having him home for four days straight. When he is around to help I am usually ready for some type of an outing, so last week we went shopping, went out to eat (sam's club), rented movies, actually went to a movie (Kayda slept the whole time) and went to a family labor day party. It really does feel good to get out of the house, I am not very good at just staying home. On Tuesday Jackie, Jonas, and Finn came to visit us and then I took Kayda to my mom's house, while I took Payton to swimming lessons . On Wednesday my mom came over and took Payton to lunch so I could get a little bit of a nap in, but of course Kayda decided she did not want to sleep at that time. On Thursday Kim, Eva, and Ella came to visit and brought us lunch, which was so nice. And today I brought both girls over to my moms and she watched them, while I went to the mall for a few hours.

Overall I think we are doing pretty good. I still have to rest and take it easy a lot of the time, but for the most part I am starting to feel like myself again. Kayda has her good and bad nights, and always seems to want to be awake at 3:00 or 4:00 am, but I am just tiring to go to sleep earlier so I can deal with that time of night better. Payton is a great big helper, and is still always concerned about were baby sister is and who is taking care of her.
