Fun in the Sun!

On Saturday we had a great time hanging out as a Family, but now that I think about it, the whole day was mainly about entertaining Payton. I think it is so funny that what entertains Reddin and I now, is making Payton happy and seeing her laugh. We started out the day playing in our small above ground pool. We started out just swimming, and playing with pool toys, but we ended that activity with a plastic slide inside the pool. Payton had a great time climbing up it and sliding into the water, she actually started going head first and loved it ( I am glad she is not scared of the water). After swimming we had lunch and a great nap and then we took Payton to see the movie Meet the Robinson’s and she did great (I think the popcorn and pop was a big hit). It was a day packed with fun, I am so grateful for my daughter and husband and the time we get to spend with each other.

Evans Family Reunion

Last weekend July 13th and 14th we went to a big Evans family reunion up north, and we had a great time. The days were packed with tons of fun activities, like carnival games, face painting, crafts, baseball, a gong show, and a few games of missionary tag. We really all did have a great time, and I think it helped me get to know Reddin’s cousins a little better. Payton had so much fun that you never wanted to go to sleep at night, she would have rather played with her friends Bailey and Anna. Overall I think it was a great experience and I am so happy we went.

Payton with her Cousins

My father-in-law just retired from the City of Mesa, so the whole family went to his retirement party, but I have to say I missed most of it, because I was out in the hallway watching Payton. All she wanted to do, along with her three older cousins, was play with the ice that was keeping the water bottles cold. So for two hours my sister-in-laws and I watched our kids run around, and we tried to keep them quiet. They all finally decided to be quiet after we gave them each a bag of cheetos and had them sit on the couch. I really wish we would have thought of this idea at the beginning of the party and not in the last five minutes, but you live and learn.

They Grow up so Fast!

Well I am back home for now. I got home from girls camp a few weeks ago and have just been enjoying the time I have with Payton, instead of doing what I should be doing, like cleaning my house and updating my blog. Anyways while I was gone I think Payton grew up over night, because she can say more words like "Baby" and "Please". I also have started doing her hair different which I think makes her look a few years older. Isn't she cute.
