My father-in-law just retired from the City of Mesa, so the whole family went to his retirement party, but I have to say I missed most of it, because I was out in the hallway watching Payton. All she wanted to do, along with her three older cousins, was play with the ice that was keeping the water bottles cold. So for two hours my sister-in-laws and I watched our kids run around, and we tried to keep them quiet. They all finally decided to be quiet after we gave them each a bag of cheetos and had them sit on the couch. I really wish we would have thought of this idea at the beginning of the party and not in the last five minutes, but you live and learn.

It probably wouldn't have worked at the beginning, you had to wait until they were a little tired of running around. It only gets better.
