Flood

Last Saturday we spent the day as a family just hanging out, running errands, watching movies at home and right when we were about to order pizza for dinner I discovered that our bathroom in our bedroom had flooded and the carpet in our bedroom was super wet. My friend Deanna watch our girls while Reddin and I tried to turn off the water and soak up as much water as possible. Then we went to my parents house to get a carpet fan, we tore up the carpet and let the fan blow for over 24 hours and it seemed to dry everything out. We are luck we caught it so quick. Everything seems to be okay and my room is now put back together, so I am happy about that.

Kayda is Two!!!

Last Sunday Kayda turned 2. I am still having a hard time believe that my baby is 2, she is such a big girl now I don't know if I can still call her my baby, but I probably will. We went to Disneyland over her birthday weekend so we had a little family party at our house the Monday before we left to celebrate her big day. We had waffles for dinner (Kayda's favorite meal), and oreo cupcakes. Kayda had a great time and loved it when we sang Happy Birthday to her. She usually would tell people Happy Birthday back if they said it to her, it was pretty cute.

In California we stayed with Damon and Jenna, it was really nice to visit with them for a little bit and then we spend two long days at Disneyland. We watched the new light show at California Adventure (I really liked it) and we road tons of kid rides, but we had a good time just hanging out as a family, our girls were good in the car and loved the rides so overall it was a great little vacation. Thanks Damon and Jenna for letting us stay with you, and Happy Birthday to Kayda.

Pictures of Greer

It has almost been two week so I figured it was time to post about our Greer vacation before I forget. We all had a great time, the weather was perfect, the kids played outside, I got to run in nice cool weather, Reddin got to bike several times in one week, we read books, played games, eat good food, and just relaxed, I really really loved this trip and wish I was back there right now. It did rain everyday, but it was still really nice when it rained the kids would come in from outside and usually play on the deck, play a board game or watch a movie. I had fun playing Mexican train with dominoes I think we played three times that trip and I loved running in such a pretty area. Reddin and Marcus actually biked along with me while I ran my 16 miles up there, it was fun to have them with me. Here are some pictures from the trip.

My little Helpers

Tonight after dinner the girls where excited to help me clean up so I let them. They wiped down the table and chairs and then decided to vacuum the kitchen. I thought it was cute, and I was happy to have the extra help, because Reddin was not home. They did a pretty good job and were really cute we should do this every night. It is a good think I have two little vacuums now.

Update on Kayda

(Kayda in her hospital gown)

Yesterday we took Kayda to Phoenix Children's Hospital for some interventional radiology and she did good. It was a really long, and she didn't like the fact that she couldn't eat, but after a few hours we put her in a hospital gown and then she got to go play in a fun play area for a few more hours before it was time for her to go in. I was with her when they put her to sleep and it really made me sad because I know she was scared. While they were doing the procedure Reddin and I went to the cafeteria to get lunch and they were done a little after we finished with lunch. After that it took Kayda another 30 to 40 minutes to wake up and when she did she was not happy. I don't think she knew what she was doing, but she just screamed and was uncontrollable for about 20 minutes, after the nurse gave her some pain medicine and took out her IV she settled down a little bit and let me hold her. We were able to take her home after about 7 hours of being at the hospital. She slept more and hung out with dad while I went to pick up Payton from my mom's. Her arm is probably three times it regular size right now, but over time the blood in the extra vessels should clot and then the mass should start to shirk. She might new a few more of these procedures, but only time will tell, for now I am glad she is home and doing okay. Here are some before and after pictures.
