Fun times

Yesterday I helped watch Sawyer and Abby while Carrie was still in the Hospital. Sawyer was so sweet she took Payton into her room and helped her pick out a princess costume to wear. Both Sawyer and Payton got dresses up and I was able to get a few pictures. I tried to get Abby in a dress, but she was not interested. Sawyer even let Payton take her sleeping beauty costume home for a few days, which Payton loves. I just hope Payton is willing to give back Sawyer's dress tomorrow like we have been talking about.

Payton wearing Sawyer sleeping beauty dress at our house. Payton came in and woke me up this morning and the first thing she asked me was, "Can I please wear Sawyer's sparkly dress?"

Payton, Bailey, and Spencer. I thought this picture was so cute. I am glad I was able to spend a little bit of time with Stephanie and her cute kids.

Boo at the Zoo

Today Reddin and I took the girls to Boo at the Zoo and we really had a good time. Payton had a blast, but we only saw a few animals, because we were too busy play games, watching a parade, winning prizes, and getting temporary tattoos. We also got to see Ava and Ella at the Zoo, and some other friends from our ward, which is always a plus, and Payton got to wear her Ariel costume out of the house for the first time, which she did not want to take off after we left the Zoo. Kayda slept most of the time, which is what she has done on every Zoo trip so far (this was the fourth one since I had her). Overall it was a fun day and the first of several Halloween events I would like to take them to. After the Zoo we went to target to grab a few thing and that is when Kayda decided to it was time to smile. She is so cute.

Cookie Making

Last Sunday Payton wanted to help make cookies, so Reddin agreed. They had a good time, until Payton burned her arm on the pan, but she learned an important lesson and likes to tell everyone about her burn. I am sure this is just the start of her wanting to help in the kitchen.

Two Months Old

So today Kayda is two months old. She is such a sweet heart, and I am so glad that she is mine. I love when she smiles and the sweet sounds that she makes. I love that she is willing to let Payton have the attention most of the time, but lets me know when she is in need of something. She is easy to take places and really likes to be outside. She is starting to sleep better at night now, and she loves to be held, by just about anybody. I do not think I could have asked for a better baby. Isn't she cute.

Sunday Afternoon

This picture was so cute, I had to take it and post it right away. This was how Reddin spent his Sunday Afternoon and the girls did not seem to mind. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband that loves to spend time with his kids. He is such a good dad. Payton and I miss him everyday when he has to go to work, so it is always nice on Sunday when we can stay at our house and spend time together as a family. Payton is such a daddy's girl, she actually spent most her time outside with him yesterday doing yard work, just so she could be with him, and from the looks of this picture I think Kayda is going to be a daddy's girl also.

Busy week

So at first after I had Kayda I did not think I was going to be going out very much, but I think I was wrong. It really is not has hard as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong if I have the opportunity to go shopping kid free I will take it, but overall so far taking two kids out and about really has been manageable. This week was pretty busy for me. We went to the Zoo twice, meet our friends for lunch twice, We went to play group, and I went to Ikea and got a new kitchen table.

So I think it is impossible to get eight kids to sit still for a picture, but we tried. These are pictures for the first Zoo trip that took place on Tuesday. I had a great time seeing my friends.

Here is Payton and Ava on their lunch date. Kim and I put them at their own table and they loved it and did a great job eating. They also decided to use their french fries as paint brushes and they painted their cups with ketcup using the fries (where do kids come up with this stuff)

This was the second Zoo trip that took place on Friday. Payton liked holding the map and riding in Aunt Carrie's wagon.

Kayda at the Zoo

Overall it was a great week. Payton especially liked going to the Zoo and is ready to go back again already. Payton had been asking to go to the Zoo all summer, but I just kept telling her that we could not go until it got cooler outside. She was really excited when I told her we were going to the Zoo this week. She even got herself dressed in her new giraffe shirt that Grandma and Grandpa Redger got for her a few weeks ago for our first Zoo day.

Lake Trip

Last Friday Reddin took Payton on her first lake trip. He meet up with my brother and his friends at Bartlett lake. They spent the night Friday, played at the lake Saturday morning and afternoon and then drove back home in time to make it to Priesthood. He said they had a good time. Payton actually never got wet, but she did get to drive the jet ski which she loved. Reddin and I were laughing so hard on Saturday night, because she told us that she got to ride on the schlotsky (instead of the jet ski) and that dad went skate boarding on the lake (instead of wake boarding). I love how Payton comes up with different words for things. She still calls her overalls her overgirls.

While Reddin and Payton were at the lake Kayda and I got to spend some fun one-on-one time together. I wanted to go to the lake, but I did not think everyone there would enjoy getting woke up a few times during the night by a crying baby, so we just stayed home. I actually had a great time staying home, because I got to sleep in. I also went running in the morning, and I went shopping. It seems so easy to go shopping now when I just have one kid, especially because she sleeps most of the time and does not talk back.

A day at the park!

Today I meet Meghan at a park by our houses so our kids could play for a little bit. Payton had a blast playing with Tyson. This park was so cool, because it had a really neat water area for the kids to play in. I use to take Payton to the park all the time when we lived in South Phoenix, but she never wanted to play in the water. I guess she is growing up, because she did not even hesitate today, she just ran right in and started playing.

After the park I raced home to feed Kayda and then I left the girls with my mom so I could go to the dentist. I had a really long dentist appointment and it turns out that I need to get a lot of work done, which I am bummed about. This happened to me after I had Payton also, I guess because I get sick all the time when I am pregnant it makes my teeth more susceptible to cavities. I think it is going to cost me more to get a few filling and a crown then it did to have a baby, but what can you do.
