First Day of 1st Grade

Once again I am so behind on blogging but wanted to have this information on record so its time to update.

Payton started first grade on August 8th in Mrs. Casso's class.  There were no tears this year but it still made me sad.  I love having her home with me.  I took her to school and she walked right to her line and sat down and didn't talk to anyone.  I don't know if she was trying to not cry or if she was just nervous, but I stayed with her and tried to get her to talk to friends, (but no one was talking) so when the bell rang I gave her a hug and watched her walk to her class.  I picked her up outside her classroom when school was over and it had been a good day.  She loves her class and really never complains about going to school.  She is turning into a really good reader she is trying to read every thing she can, signs on the street, or at store, mail and of course books.  A few days after school started she also started Gymnastics and she is loving that also and doing really well.  They moved her up a level after her first session, which she likes because she can now climb the rope as high as she wants.  Her favorite thing is the bars.  We love our sweet Payton and I cannot believe she is almost 7.
