So I have decided I need to write this down, so I can laugh about it someday. Lately I have felt like everything I touch breaks. It started last week when my cell phone decided to stop working right before the road trip to Flagstaff. I tried to fix it for about an hour, but then I had to give up and just get in the car. Then on Monday Reddin, Payton and I were driving to the store and our air conditioner in our car decided to blow hot air instead of cold (not a fun trip to the store). Reddin fixed the air conditioner on Tuesday and we seemed to be doing pretty good until Saturday approached. On Saturday we dropped Payton off at my Mother-in-laws and then drove to the Temple. When I tried to get out of the car in the Temple parking lot my door decided it did not feel liking opening, so we tried to open it a few times and then I had to give up and just crawl over the seats to get out. After our Temple session I still could not open my car door to get in so I crawled thru (in a skirt) and we drove back to my Mother-in-law’s house, but on our way it seemed like our air-condition was not working very well (not again). Then later on that day I went to the bank and my ATM card would not work (I tried for several minutes), so I just drove to the mall, with very little air conditioning and checks that still needed to be deposited. That is pretty much how that day finished.
On Sunday Reddin and I decided we would drive our truck out to Mesa for a family birthday party, because it had air-conditioning and both car doors worked. As we were driving another driver told us one of our tires was really low, so we thanked him, got off the freeway and filled up our tire at the nearest gas stations. After that we got back on the freeway and drove a few miles before we got a flat tire. Reddin pulled off to the side of the freeway to confirm that it was a flat tire (the same tire we just filled up). Anyway everything to fix the tire was behind Payton, so we moved the car seat over and Payton played with the radio and other control while Reddin fixed the tire (the whole time see kept saying “where daddy go?”). He got back in the car and told me the spare tire was also low on air so we got off the freeway the drove on surface streets the rest of the way to his parent’s house. We made it safely, but after this event I was ready to go buy two new cars with new tires, doors, and air condition. Anyways thanks to our wonderful family we were able to borrow a car to get home in that night and on Monday I was able to take the car into the shop so someone could look at it and my Mom so kindly picked Payton and I up, and Reddin’s dad took the truck and got it fixed.
That is the end of my story for now, we should have our car back in a few days and we got our truck back on Monday, so for now I am stranded at home without a car for now, but we are all safe. I think we are just being tested, which is not always easy, but sometime it helps me deal with it.

Karen, I hate those weeks!!! Have you seen the movie "Gaslight" with Ingrid Bergmen and Charles Boyer? He is trying to make her think she is crazy. Watch out :-)
we miss you guys! let's plan a swim and bbq at my house! payton is so cute! can't wait to see you!
When it rains, it pours. Just think though, hopefully you've used up all your bad luck for the year and things will only get better from here on out!
It sounds like you've had your fair share of problems recently. I know what that feels like. Hang in there.
Also (in response to your post on my blog), I live in a condo in West Mesa. I'm still pretty close to Tempe (my favorite city).
Have you broken any mirrors lately? Spilled any salt? Maybe you should try tossing some over your shoulder just in case...couldn't hurt! Hope next week is better...
