Not a Normal Week.

This past week has been a little crazy and I do not think anyone in my family is 100% yet, because of everything that has been going on, but I know everything will get back to normal soon. On Thursday morning we got the bad news that Reddin's dad had a heart attack and was at the hospital. Reddin threw clothes on and drove to the hospital and was able to get there just in time to give his dad a blessing before he went in for a triple bypass surgery. It was a scary day, but we are so blessed, because Grandpa Evans is still with us and he is getting better everyday. He got out off ICU today and is continuing to improve.

Reddin has spent a lot of time at the hospital the past several days, but he did take a break on Saturday morning so we could go run in the Pat's run. It was a lot of fun. My dad came with us and we really enjoyed having him there. It was hard to run with a stroller, because there were so many people and we had to start in the last wave of runners, but we still finished the 4.2 miles in 42 minutes and both the girls fell asleep while we were running (probably because we got them up at 5:00 am) which was nice.

After we finished running we all headed to the Children's museum in Downtown Phoenix. Payton had a great time, playing in the noodles, pretend shopping, playing with the balls, riding bikes, crafting, and playing with dad. Kayda stayed with Grandpa Redger and me most of the time, because it did not seem like there was much for her to do there, but maybe I missed something.

After the museum we went to Carrie and Brendon's house to visit and to take turns going to the hospital to see Reddin's dad. On Sunday we once again went back to Carrie and Brendon's after church to each lunch and then to take turns at the hospital. It was so nice to be close to the hospital and to have a house for our kids to play at while we went to see Wayne (Thanks Carrie and Brendon). I am so grateful that Wayne is okay. It was a really scary few days. I have been reminded this week that your life can change in a minute. We are so blessed that he was in the right place at the right time, and that he was able to get help so quickly.
