I mentioned the fact that we went camping as a family in a previous post, but never went into detail, so here I go. I did not grow up camping, so I have never been really excited about camping I would rather stay in a hotel if it were up to me, but over the years the idea has grown on me. This year we went camping at Christopher Creek with 6 other families. We had a great time, the weather was good, there was a mile loop for us to run around, there was plenty of shade and there was a creek to play in, but Payton spent most of her time playing in various tents or sitting on rocks, because she did not like the moss that was in the creek.
Kayda spend all of her time being passed from one person to the next. She also liked to crawl around in the tent when she got the chance.
On Saturday Reddin went to box canyon and went hiking with several of the young men and women in our ward and everyone had a good time. The only complaint I have about camping is the fact that I did not get much sleep. Kayda woke up at midnight the first night and then after we got her back to sleep she woke up again at 5:00 am and was ready to play. The second night I thought we would do much better, but once again Kayda woke up around midnight, but this time she threw-up then fell asleep in my arms. After an hour or so I but her back in the pack-n-play, but then Payton woke up because she was cold, I was so tired I fell asleep on the drive home. Overall it was a great trip and I would do it again next year. I think there are going to be a lot of camping trips in our future.

Sleeping is always the worst part of camping for me too. Fun during the day pretty much makes up for it though (most of the time...) Im glad you guys had a good time, we should go again as an Evans clan.
