This has not been the best week I have ever had, but we are still going strong. Mother's day I woke up to a great breakfast, new running clothes and a new curling iron, and two sick kids. On Sunday Kayda was not her usually smiley self she would not eat, and she would not sleep, and she just kept crying, so by the end of the day I figured something was wrong so Reddin took her to urgent care, while I put Payton to sleep. Reddin got home from urgent care around 10:00 pm and Kayda did in fact have an ear infection. He went and filled prescription and by the time we got Kayda to sleep it was around midnight. Then on Tuesday I was driving to Tempe to meet up with my mom and my car over heated. I had AAA tow it to a mechanic and then while I waited at my mom's to hear about my car my tooth decided to break. I then went to the dentist to find out that an on lay I had put on about 6 months ago broke, so I would have to start the process again. By the end of Tuesday I was a little depressed, with my broken tooth, broken car, and two sick kids, but Reddin reminded me it could be worse and in fact it could be worse (at least I have a car, kids, and teeth), so I am grateful for the trials I am presented with, because I know I would not be given something I can not handled.
Today things are looking much better. My kids seem to be mostly over the colds they have, my car is fixed and parked in my garage, my tooth is temporally fixed until June 3rd and tomorrow we get to go camping with a lot of friends and I am excited. So today I am grateful for the trails we have over come and I am so blessed to have a mom that is close by and always willing to help me. She let me borrow her car, she watched my kids, and she kept me company. I am also grateful for my husband that reminds me that things really are not as bad as they sometimes seem.

Oh man Karen! That is a bummer of a week. Glad things are starting to look up!
I'm glad that your mom is so close to help out when things go rough. I'm sorry the girls haven't been feeling the best, hopefully things will be looking up soon.
I'm so sorry! When it rains, it pours I guess. Glad things are back to normal. And congrats on the 10 miles! That's amazing. I'm so proud of myself when I do three miles... I think I would call the evening news if I did 10! :)
It feels good to put a bad week behind you huh? Im glad things are getting back on track for you, let me know if I can help, Im just up the road :)
Glad things are looking up for ya! It's frustrating when those things happen! Good for you on your long run! It feels great to accomplish things we never thoguht we'd do! If you're really interested in a half marathon you should do the Sedona one, it's beautiful and a fun course!
Isn't today your Anniversary? Happy Anniversary!
