Our Cruise

Our ship

Reddin and I went on a cruise several weeks ago and I am just now blogging about it. We were gone for 8 days and we had a great time. Thanks to both sets of grandparents who helped watch our girls. We have never left our girls for more then a day or two so I was wondering how it would go, but they did great and I think everyone had a good time and I never worried about them. We left on Friday October 21st and spent all day flying to Orlando. We left the next day out of Cape Canaveral and started our cruise. On the ship we had a wonderful time eating good food, watching shows, reading, watching movies, swimming, and just relaxing. The first day we went to Nassau in the Bahamas, we went over to the hotel Atlantis and had fun at the beach and then walked around and saw the aquariums. We also had time to shop a little before we got back on the ship. Reddin in the Atlantis aquarium

The next port we went to was St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. We decided to snorkel there so we rode on a catamaran and snorkeled in turtle cove. We saw sea turtles, and tons of fish. When we were done we shopped in St. Thomas for a little bit.

After St. Thomas we went to San Juan, Puerto Rico. In San Juan we did a rain forest hike and got to swim in a waterfall, it was so pretty I am glad we got to do that.

Our last stop was the Great Stirrup Cay, in the Bahamas. This was the ships private island so we planned on just staying at the beach all day snorkeling, and relaxing, but the weather had other plans. We got the island and went down a huge 40 ft slide 4 times and then snorkeled for awhile and when we came in from snorkeling it was raining. It was raining really hard and it didn’t seem like it would clear up anytime soon so we headed back to the ship to eat some more and read.

Our last day at the beach after the rain stopped.

It was the best vacation ever, I didn’t have to cook or clean or take care of anything for 8 days, that is my idea of a vacation.
