The First Week of 2009

So I guess it is time for me to stop reading blogs and actually update mine. The first week of 2009 has been great. We went to a friends house on Christmas Eve to celebrate, but at about 9:30 pm Payton told us she was ready to go home and go to bed, so we put her to bed and my brother (Brian) came over and we played rock band 2. I had never played that game before, but it really was a lot of fun. I do not know how long Brian and Reddin played for, but I went to sleep at about 1:00pm.

On New Years day we went shopping as a family and bought a new couch, and it was delivered within the same week. Our old couch was not pretty as you can see from the picture above, so I am very excited for this new addition to our house

That night we celebrated my Nephew Liam's birthday I cannot believe he is already two, and we had a great time visiting. Happy Birthday Liam

On Friday we took down our Christmas decoration, and cleaned out Kayda's closet, I think we almost have every box unpacked now from our move that took place over six months ago. I also go to go and visit with Stephanie, Jessica, and Tangi, which is always a lot of fun. On Saturday Kayda tasted rice cereal for the first time and was not very impressed, so I think I am going to wait a few more months before I try again.

On Sunday we went to Church at our new time 10:30 (much better than 8:30, but we were still late) and I got a new calling as one of the activity day leaders, which I am excited about. On Monday Reddin had to go back to work, which as been a hard adjustment for everyone, because he was home for 11 days, but I think Payton is now remembering that he is at work and everything else seems to be back to normal. So far I think the new year has started out pretty good.
