Why do I have such a sweet tooth? I know I should not eat as much sugar as I do but I seem to have no self control and it bugs me. It is so annoying , because I run around 30 - 45 miles a week and I feel like I never stop going going going all day, but yet I still gain weight, it makes no since to me. Every morning I wake up thinking I will try not to eat sweets today and I never make it very far. Maybe I will be able to do better next week after Easter, I don't want to cut out sugar completely, but I would like to lose a few pounds and feel better about myself. Maybe I need to find a good incentive, or maybe I should just be happy with my body the way it is and not worry about it, I don't know, any tips to help with my sweet tooth?

When I saw you at the Ragnar I thought you looked amazing. I think if you are running as much as YOU ARE that you should be able to eat as much sugar as you want. I bet you are building tons of muscle and it does weigh more!!
Wade has been trying to eat less and it works for him to just each one "sweet" a day. So maybe try that if you really want to cut back!!
Love Ya
I'm with ya on the sweet tooth thing! I'm always craving it! And yes, I think it's best to love the way you look, and you look great, but it's never a bad thing to want to eat healthier. I've been trying to substitute my usual sweets (chocolate, cookies, brownies, icecream) with healthier alternatives. I'll mix up an instant Carnation Breakfast drink and stick it in the freezer until it's slushy instead of dishing out icecream. You can do that with a yogurt and it's good too. Fruit drizzled with dark chocolate is something I saw on the Biggest Loser..haha. But ultimately I think it's just fine to have your indulgences and again, you look great, so don't stress it too much! :)
I don't think you need to worry a bit if your scales say that you have gained weight. I think you have gained muscle. I was thinking the other day how slim, trim, and fit you look. I wouldn't worry a bit about your body because you look great and I'm not just saying that because I'm your mother-in-law and I love you. Your REALLY look great. When you look like me then you can worry about gaining weight. A little sweets is okay, who can resist sugar. They're not normal if they can!
